Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office Participates in 2007 Niagara County Environmental Field Days

Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office (LGLFRO) STEP student Bryan Young and biologists Betsy Trometer and Raymond Li participated in the 2007 Niagara County Environmental Field Days held at Royalton Ravine Park in Gasport, NY, June 5-6,2007.  LGLFRO staff demonstrated the impacts of storm water runoff to water quality and aquatic invertebrates, and the ecological benefits provided by forested riparian buffers and wetlands.  In total, 25 agencies and organizations presented to over 988 elementary and middle school students at the 2-day program hosted by the Niagara County Soil & Water Conservation District.
