Federal Duck Stamp artist Joe Hautman from Minnesota, along with the Minnesota Deer Hunter’s Association and others, were recognized for their contributions to restore wetlands in Becker County.  The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service honored  the contributors at a recent dedication at the Buchl Waterfowl Production Area north of Audubon.

Over 120 wetland basins were restored on the Buchl Waterfowl Production Area in the fall of 2006.  Funding was provided by Joe Hautman, the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, Sandra and Robert Roel and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
