Southwest Region, May 18, 2007
Print Friendly Version

On May 15, 2007 Outdoor Recreation Planner Kimberly King-Wrenn presented the Sevilleta Mexican gray wolf program to 98 High School students at the Santa Fe Indian School in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge has an educational outreach program so students can learn about wolf biology, how and why wolves became endangered, the challenge of the wolf recovery program, what role Sevilleta NWR plays in the Mexican gray wolf recovery program, and all the different partners that help make the program a success.  This outreach program has interactive activities which can be geared towards K-12 grades and meets the NM standards for education.
