The annual kids fishing event was recently held at Supawna Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. About 80 kids attended. A morning educational session was held to teach kids about fish, safety, and ethics. Children ate lunch and fished in the afternoon. An 18-1/2" channel catfish won a prize at the event. The Friends of Supawna Meadows National Wildlife Refuge and refuge volunteers were integral in the success of this year's event.
