Squaw Creek Celebrates 19th Annual Volunteer Workday

The 19th annual volunteer workday was held April 21 with 25 volunteers and two staff members participating. 

The volunteers donated 135 hours working on a number of projects including native plant restoration, warm season grass seeding, repairing the wild flower bed at the heaquarters, clearing the proposed boardwalk trail and assisting visitors in the office. 

One notable group were Wildlife Society students from Missouri Western State University working on garlic mustard control. 

After lunch, Volunteer Kenny Bahr received a certificate signed by Director Dale Hall for this 2,000 volunteer hours.
