Staff Members Complete Variety of Training

Staff from Sqauw Creek National Wildlife Refuge completed a wide variety of training during the past three months.  

Wildlife Biologist Jessica Lee attended the Region3/5 Impoundment Management Study workshop, at Minnesota Valley NWR ,March 21.  She also attended the Marsh Bird Monitoring Training Workshop, April 16-19, at the Great River NWR.  

Wildlife Refuge Specialist Corey Kudrna attended a SAMMS refresher class, at Crab Orchard NWR, March 20-22.  He also attended a backhoe loader safety training, at the Savannah District of the Upper Mississippi River NWR, March 28.   

All staff completed the ITS Course in April. 

Refuge Biologist Frank Durbian attended the initial phase of the Stepping Up To Leadership program, at NCTC, April 15-28. 

Wildlife Refuge Specialist Kudrna conducted an ATV safety training session for Biological Aide Mike Voltz, YCC Leader Trevor Kahler and Volunteer Adam Leslie, at Squaw Creek NWR, May 10. 

Kudrna, Lee, and Voltz attended the Introduction to ArcGIS, at Missouri Western State University, May 14-15.
