Invasive Plant Management Workshop
Midwest Region, March 1, 2007
Print Friendly Version

Wildlife Refuge Specialist Corey Kudrna presented a program on tools and safety of invasive plant management to nine Wildlife Society members from the MissouriWestern State University.

The three-hour session provided the do's and dont's of brush cutter and herbicide work and completed the training requirements for hazards communication training for pesticides as well as the opportunity to learn how to maintain and safely operate brush cutters.

The students will be assisting in exotic plant control at Squaw Creek this spring and summer via a Challenge Cost Share project with the Wildlife Society.
