Print Friendly Version
Staff from the Lower Great Lakes Fisheries Resources Office represented the Service and participated in a career day for the city of Buffalo’s Lovejoy Discovery School #43.  Students learned about the Service on a national level as well as the career position of  a fish biologist.  Five consecutive groups of 5th and/or 8th grade students listened to 20-minute presentations about the fisheries program and LGLFRO activities on the Great Lakes, as well as the National Wildlife Refuge System, law enforcement, and what classes and training are important for this career choice.  All students received the Service brochure, “Careers: Conserving the Nature of America.”
