Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge- Kestrels are Nesting, Check it out!
Northeast Region, March 15, 2007
Print Friendly Version

American Kestrels started nesting during the past week at Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge. A nesting box that has been in place just north of the visitor contact station was fitted with a camera and a live feed is sent back into several monitors located in the visitor contact station.

The project is a cooperative partnership with Friends of Iroquois NWR, Inc., giving the public a close up, personal view of these colorful birds without disturbing them. Pictures from inside the nest box can be viewed from the Friends website at http://www.friendsofiroquoisnwr.org/.
