Teachers from the Tok School attended a workshop for the “Role of Fire in Alaska” curriculum.  The morning session included familiarization with role of fire and “FireWorks” curricula as well as the “FireWise” program.  Activities spanning all grade levels were presented, the "Fire Kit" was examined and ways to implement the program into classrooms were discussed.  Each teacher left with a hard copy and CD of the curriculum, the new “Fire in Alaska” poster, and a “FireWise” T-shirt.  The workshop was well received and all those in attendance are anxious to incorporate this material into their classes.
