Mike Oldham Deep Fork Unit 2 March 30, 2007

The refuge conducted a youth turkey hunt from March 30 through April 1, 2007.  Four youngsters were present for the hunt, and were between the ages of 12 and 14 years.  Two of the four youths were successful in harvesting a turkey.  A meal was provided during the evening of the first day.  All of the youths participating in the hunt were allowed to shoot and pattern their shotguns prior to the hunt, and prizes were given to the best shooters.
