Kewaunee Middle School Students Learn About Careers Protecting Fish and Wildlife
Midwest Region, March 30, 2007
Print Friendly Version

Biologist Leakhena Au spoke to approximately 80 students at Kewaunee Middle School in Wisconsin about career opportunities as a fish and wildlife biologist.

She spoke about how understanding science, particularly biology, provides a strong foundation for a diversity of careers in the conservation field ranging from zoologist to wildlife ecologist.

She described the different types of work that fish and wildlife biologists do in the Fish and Wildlife Service, such as habitat management and restoration, migratory bird planning and monitoring, endangered species recovery work, federal project planning, and more.
