Chicago Field Office Responds toMore Than400 Technical Assistance Requests

The Chicago, Illinois field office has received and responded to morethan 400 technical assistance requests, as of March 1. That's only 5 months out of the fiscal year. 

These requests come from both the public and private sectors.  The requests come in various forms, but the most common request is the threatened and endangered species review for a proposed project site. 

These may include residential/commercial developments, the proposed placement of cellular communications towers, pipeline maintenance, stream and streambank stabilization projects, or water conveyance projects, to name a few.
