Necedah NWR wildlife refuge specialist Bill Peterson joined biologists from the Natural Resources Conservation Service and Central Wisconsin Windshed Partnership to teach private landowners about wildlife habitat management. 

The Golden Sands RC&D sponsored workshop was held at the Lions Camp in Rosholt, Wisconsin, March 3. 

Speakers covered a variety of topics including forest, wetland, and grassland management and also provided contact information for project cost sharing and additional technical assistance. 

Bill Peterson summarized native prairie restoration and establishment, non-native grassland managment, invasive plant control, and treeline removal.
