The Endangered Pallid Sturgeon Building Project continues to make slow but continuous progress at the Neosho National Fsih Hatchery.  The Ice Storm that ocurred on the weekend of January 12th delayed things for awhile, but now things seems to be back on track.

The additional 30 rearing tanks (6'x24') will be dilivered the week of February 26, 2007.  At present the foundation and the building are constructed along with the primary plumbing except fo te plumbing inside the building  to the tanks (hatchery staff will do in an effort to save dollars); mixing box is also constructed along with office room/wet lab and mechanical room.

The remaining items are the mixing column, oxygen line, rearing tanks arrival, electrical work (bids closes at the end of February), and landscaping.  It will allow us to increase our annual pallid sturgeon production to over 10,000 9 inch pallids, thus, making a significant difference in the Pallid Sturgeon Recovery Effort for the Lower Missouri River.  See attached picture.
