Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge staffed a booth at the Southern Illinois Boat Show, February 2-4. 

The Refuge's booth, which was located at the main entrance to the showroom, showcased a display with the opportunities that Crab Orchard NWR has to offer: hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing, wildlife photography, environmental education and interpretation. 

Refuge brochures and the Wild Times Newsletter were available also. 

Refuge staff and volunteers helped with this event with more than 7,300 visitors in attendence.  Staff helped answer questions about the Refuge including new regulations set forth in the approved CCP. 

Children attending this event were treated to a wild animal painted on their face...the most popular among the kids was the butterfly and bald eagle.
