The Third Annual Snowmobile Open House was held, February 3, at Pendills Creek NFH..  The event was sponsored by the "Friends of Pendills Creek Hatchery" the local Friends Group.

This year the "Friends of Pendills Creek Hatchery" assisted with contacting local businesses for food and prize donations for the event.  The Friends Group also prepared and donated food and worked the event serving guests a free meal.

During the event, the Friends Group sold memberships, candy and Friends t-shirts.  Hatchery staff members Debbie Jones served as hatchery event coordinator and provided tours along with Jenny Walker and Curt Friez to the estimated 85 visitors that attended the event.

This year attendance was down a little from previous years although, with weather likely to blame.  Near white out conditions from snow squalls and extreme cold may have hampered attendance, and resulted in hatchery raceways freezing over, limiting fish viewing.
