The Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) participated with Turner Endangered Species Fund, IFT members, New Mexico Department of Game and Fish conservation officers, and volunteers to capture and separate five wolves to prevent breeding in captivity at the Ladder Wolf Management Facility in New Mexico.  The action was necessary because there are no plans for initial releases from the Wolf Management Facilities to the wild.  The Service captured and moved two wolves from the Ladder Wolf Facility to the Sevilleta Wolf Facility, also in New Mexico.  These wolves are being readied for translocation.
