Journal Entry   Back West Texas Suboffice Discusses Habitat Restoration with Bailey-Lamb Sandhills Landowner Association Southwest Region, December 14, 2006 Print Friendly Version John Hughes of the West Texas Suboffice was invited to give a presentation to 25 members of the Bailey-Lamb Sandhills Landowner Association on December 14, 2006 in Muleshoe, Texas.  Mr. Hughes’ presentation described the Service’s efforts to restore habitat for federal trust species using incentives provided by the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program and other interagency habitat restoration initiatives such as the Playa Lakes Joint Venture.  Presentations were also given by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, The Nature Conservancy, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.  The members of the Association were very receptive to all of the presentations, and Mr. Hughes made several new contacts interested in participating in the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program.
