The Green Bay Ecological Services Field Office worked with Wisconsin Public Television’s “In Wisconsin” staff on a program to feature the Hine’s emerald dragonfly.

The program was filmed in Door County, Wisconsin, during the summer of 2006 and presented information on the life history of the species.  The program highlighted the work of Dr. Dan Soluk (USD-Vermillion) who has studied the species for over 8 years.

Dr. Soluk, as well as representatives from The Nature Conservancy and the Service’s Green Bay Field Office were featured in the program.  The Service’s proposal to designate critical habitat for the Hine’s emerald dragonfly was mentioned as well.

The program aired on September 28 and will be aired again next spring
