New Mexico Ecological Services Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program Participates in “Spanapalooza” – Espanola’s Community Awareness Fair, October 7, 2006
Southwest Region, October 7, 2006
Print Friendly Version

The New Mexico Ecological Services Field Office, Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program staff had a booth display and handouts at Spanapalooza, in Espanola, New Mexico on October 7, 2006.  The Partners Program staff represented Ecological Services and other divisions of the Fish and Wildlife Service (Migratory Birds, Refuges, Joint Venture, Diversity and Civil Rights) by providing posters and other handouts for adults and children.  This year the event hosted local rock bands to play for the visitors in an effort to attract different age groups to the fair.  Approximately 150 people attended the fair.

Spanapalooza is growing every year, providing youth education information on issues affecting our community and promoting how young people can be part of impacting positive social change.  The event is a drug and alcohol free event.
