The notice of availability and request for comments for the draft 'Management and Control Plan for Asian Carps in the United States' was published in the Federal Register on Tuesday, 10/24/2006. The plan can be downloaded from the ANSTF homepage at: http://anstaskforce.gov/default.php. 

The 60-day comment period will end 12/26/2006.  Comments can be submitted electronically to AsianCarpPlan@fws.gov.  Public comments will be considered before the final plan is submitted to the Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force for approval.  The draft plan provides a framework for coordinated national management and control of bighead, black, grass, and silver carps.
