Coastal Program staff from the Corpus Christi Ecological Services Field Office assisted Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program staff with an oyster survey at a proposed rookery island creation site in San Antonio Bay.  Currently there is need to construct a colonial waterbird rookery island in San Antonio Bay.  This bay has much available marsh habitat to provide feeding areas, however; it is under utilized because of the lack of quality nesting islands in the area.
