Careers Presentation Made to Special Needs Kids
Southwest Region, September 28, 2006
Print Friendly Version
On September 28, 2006, Robert Pine gave a presentation on bats to a group of special needs kids, ages from about 13 to 18, at GOALS on the Round Rock High School campus.  The group included several Hispanic kids.  The presentation, included a discussion of jobs with the Fish & Wildlife Service and elsewhere in the Federal government.  Information was also provided on bat biology, habitats, and how to avoid rabies.  The students were learning about endangered species and ecosystems in class and were interested in bats because of the large McNeil bridge bat population in Round Rock.
