The Wildlife Society (TWS), established in 1937, is the association of wildlife professionals dedicated to excellence in wildlife stewardship through science and education.  TWS held their annual conference in Anchorage, Alaska September 23 - 27, 2006 with close to 1,300 wildlife professionals in attendance.  Kenai National Wildlife Refuge participated in the event with staff contributing to two formal presentations and three technical posters highlighting Refuge programs, management issues, and scientific discoveries.  The Refuge also helped with conference arrangements and a post-conference field trip to the Refuge.  The annual conference in 2007 will be held in Tuscon, Arizona.
