Migratory Birds biologist Tom Will participated in a meeting, November 15-16, 2005, at the USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center to provide feedback and insight on the development of new strategic directions for the Breeding Bird Survey (BBS). 

The roadside BBS provides the source data on which the Service’s assessment of the conservation status and trends of landbirds fundamentally depends.  Tom ended up facilitating the entire second day of the planning meeting.  The final draft of the BBS strategic plan is now being circulated for review.
