Following the conclusion of the comment period for a draft Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP), Refuge and Conservation Planning staff  began work on a final CCP for Horicon and Fox River Refuges.  Nine people attended an open house for Horicon NWR. August 9, in Mayville, Wisconsin, and 11 people attended the open house for Fox River NWR, August 10, in Endeavor, Wisconsin.  

Although turnout was light, people generally stayed for detailed discussion on future management of the refuges.  The Planning Team is reviewing the comments and, when appropriate, revising the CCP. The final CCP will contain a section that will summarize the comments received and the Refuge's response to those comments.
