A total of 27 news releases and media advisories were prepared by External Affairs for the Ecological Services and Administration programs in Region 3. 

News releases were prepared for issues including contaminants and NRDA (Strawtown, Grassy Island, Cohassett); endangered species listings/delistings(gray wolf delisting), critical habitat (Hine's emerald dragonfly, lynx) and recovery (gray wolf depredation permits), endangered species grants (Landowner Incentive Program, Section 6), and habitat conservation planning (least tern, Karner blue butterfly). 

Advisories were prepared and issued to solicit media attendance at a disabilities workshop, two secretarial visits (Neal Smith, Listening Sessions), an NRDA open house (Crab Orchard), and public meetings on endangered species delisting (gray wolf)and critical habitat proposals (Hine's emerald dragonfly).

Letters to the Editor were prepared for newspapers in Ohio on Indiana bat recovery and Section 7 as well as wolf hybrids.
