The Austin Ecological Services Officeand Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge participated in the Region 2 - Division of Diversity and Civil Rights 2006 Supply Our Schools campaign to benefit the students of Pecan Springs Elementary School in Austin, Texas.  Pecan Springs is a culturally diverse school with students representing a variety of ethnic backgrounds and special needs.  About 10 boxes of school supplies were collected by Austin ES personnel and delivered to the school on August 22, 2006.
