Print Friendly Version
The Adaptive Management Oversight Committee (AMOC) hosted a Mexican Wolf Management Workshop August 29-30 on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation at the Hon-Dah Resort – Casino in Arizona.  The workshop was moderated by the US Department of Agriculture-Animal Plant Health Inspection Service, Wildlife Services.

The workshop included presentations ranging from the economic impacts of wolf recovery to nonlethal methods to manage wolves.  The workshop concluded with a Directors Panel Discussion, featuring a question and answer session from the audience to the representative Directors from each of the cooperating agencies.

The workshop was open to the public and widely attended.

The AMOC is comprised of representatives from the agencies involved in Mexican wolf recovery (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Arizona Game and Fish Department, New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, USDA-APHIS, Wildlife Services, the U.S. Forest Service and the White Mountain Apache Tribe).  The AMOC oversees the Interagency Field Team on issues that need input from one or more of the agencies listed above.
