Tuesdays with DCR Features the Benefits of ADR in the Workplace
Midwest Region, August 29, 2006
Print Friendly Version

Mitch Franklin, Director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, spoke to regional office employees about the benefits of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in the workplace.

Franklin  provided an overview of his office's mission, discussed the common types of ADRs, explained the process, and spoke about tbenefits of interest based mediation.

Franklin also explained that, when both parties mutually come to an agreement, they are usually more satisfied with the outcome and can ultimately get their relationship "back on track."

Twenty-two DOI employees attended the presentation -- 16 FWS supervisors/managers, five employees, and one manager from the Office of the Field Solicitor.
