On July 24, the Ohio Field Office held a workshop, in partnership with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, on Section 7 consultation. 

The workshop included presentations on the Endangered Species Act, informal and formal consultation, and specific issues regarding consultation for the Indiana bat.  It also included a panel discussion and question and answer period. 

About 30 participants representing the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, Ohio Power Siting Board, energy industry, and their consultants attended the workshop.  The workshop is one in a series that the Ohio Field Office has conducted in the past year to increase awareness about the endangered species consultation process.
