Trail Receives Needed Cleaning and Repairs as part of Refuge "Hands Dirty Day"
Northeast Region, June 17, 2006
Print Friendly Version

The Friends of Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge and refuge volunteers met on June 17 for their monthly "Hands Dirty Day".   During the work day, Friends focused their efforts on the refuge's headquarters trail.  Due to previous wind storms the trail was in need of cleaning and repair.  In addition, the group installed interpretive signs for trees, wetlands and streams located on the refuge. It was a successful and beneficial day for the refuge and all the participants.
