New Mexico Ecological Services Meets with New Mexico State Parks
Southwest Region, July 27, 2006
Print Friendly Version
Staff from New Mexico Ecological Services Field Office, met with staff from New Mexico State Parks to discuss future collaborative activities July 27, 2006.  During a statewide meeting of regional managers for State Parks, Field Office staff explained the various activities of the office and explored the possibility of the Office helping them and State Parks helping us.  New Mexico has 34 state parks that provide habitat for wildlife.  Every year State Parks has over 200 public events.  We could benefit from this outreach if we participated.  In addition, they may be able to implement land management practices that could benefit sensitive wildlife species, both aquatic and terrestrial species.
