Coastal Program staff from the Corpus Christi Ecological Service Field Office participated in a quarterly meeting of the Seagrass Working Group.  The goal of this group is to assist the State of Texas in the development of a coastwide seagrass monitoring plan.  On July 13, 2006, Coastal Program staff assisted Texas State University staff in collection of GPS data on seagrass beds in Redfish Bay.  The data will be used to analyze recently acquired aerial photography of Redfish Bay and incorporated into the statewide seagrass monitoring program.
