Tishomingo National Wildlife Refuge, on July 10th, completed the last of three agreements with the City of Tishomingo, Johnston County Sheriff Office, and Murray State College. The agreements provide for a better working relationship with neighboring law enforcement and fire agencies.

The agreements develop partnerships in the interest of public safety that allow for other agencies to respond to emergencies on Tishomingo National Wildlife Refuge or adjacent property.

The agreements establish radio frequencies that can also be utilized in times of national , state, or county emergencies. The partnerships will also allow quicker responses to emergency law enforcement or fire incidents that escalate into or overlap jurisdictional lines.
