Library Reading Program
Southwest Region, June 28, 2006
Print Friendly Version

The Broken Bow Public Library conducted a summer reading program for children during the month of June.  The theme of the reading program was Paws, Claws, Scales, and Tales.  The reading program exposed children to the wildlife species that occur within the community and provided educational activities to encourage reading.  Sherry Burris, Administrative Technician at Little River NWR, provided refuge brochures, coloring books, pencils, magnets, bookmarks, and posters to support the educational activities the children were involved with in the reading program.  The educational materials and refuge information exposed the children to the wildlife species that occur within the refuge.
