East Texas Field Biologists Meet to Discuss Conservation Programs that benefit Private Landowners
Southwest Region, June 9, 2006
Print Friendly Version

Federal, State, and private biologists responsible for working with private landowners to implement conservation programs recently met near the Trinity River at Crockett, Texas. Over 25 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department biologists, Jeffrey A. Reid of the East Texas Sub-office, and Keith McKnight of Ducks Unlimited gathered to discuss opportunities for the East Texas Wetlands Project, Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program, and Private Stewardship Grant Program.   Representatives from the Natural Resource Conservation Service were also present to discuss the Wetlands Reserve Program. The meeting resulted in additional landowner contacts for the East Texas Wetlands Project and the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program.
