Southwest Region, May 19, 2006
Print Friendly Version

A New Mexico Ecological Services Field Office staff member along with other Fish and Wildlife Service employees attended and participated in the Canada/Mexico/US Trilateral Committee for Wildlife and Ecosystem Conservation and Management May 15-19, 2006 in San Diego, California.  Staff helped facilitate and enhance coordination, cooperation, and development of partnerships among the wildlife agencies of the three countries, and other interested entities, for the conservation and management of biological diversity and ecosystems of mutual interest.  The meeting resulted in an exchange of information; priority actions were identified along with the responsible agency; and establishment of deadlines for completion of actions.  All projects undertaken in Mexico must be endorsed by the Mexican Government at the Trilateral Committee meeting and implemented in collaboration with Mexican counterparts.
