Firefighters from the Klamath Basin National Wildlife Refuge Complex joined local cooperators in the production of a home/land owner wildfire prevention video.  Keno, Oregon, Rural Fire Protection District Chief John Ketchum organized cooperators from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service, Klamath County, Kingsley Airfield, Oregon Department of Forestry and other county-wide volunteer fire agencies and the Klamath County Sheriff's Office to combine efforts towards the production a 30 minute DVD emphasizing the importance of wildfire safety and preventative maintenance citizens can take to reduce their risk of loss or injury from wildfire.

Structural and wildland fire resources worked together filming scenarios of what a real wildfire suppression action and evacuation might look like.  Chief Ketchum wanted to emphasize the importance of interagency cooperation and educate the public about many agencies working together to successfully and safely extinguish wildfire.  Videographers from a local public television station associated with the Oregon Institute of Technology captured hours of video, including a small prescribed burn conducted to show how low intensity fire and home protection is possible with proper vegetation management.
