The refuge conducted its second youth turkey hunt on March 31 through April 2, 2006.  Nine kids were selected by drawing, all between the ages of 12 to 14 years old.  Six of the nine kids were available for the hunt, and three of the youth were successful in harvesting a turkey.  Refuge staff provided a meal following the hunt briefing.
