TETLIN:Popular Alaskan Author VisitsRefuge
Alaska Region, April 1, 2006
Print Friendly Version

Popular Alaskan author Ned Rozelle visited Tok, Alaska and Tetlin Refuge to share stories and photos from his latest book, Walking My Dog Jane: From Valdez to Prudhoe Bay Along the Alaska Pipeline. This book was picked by members of Tok's Environmental Book Club (an adult outreach effort sponsored by the Refuge) to read during winter.  Ned's presentation gave club members, their families and Tetlin Refuges' "Friends" the chance to ask questions and get first-hand information about his trip and his writings, and socialize with a well-known author.  Ned is also a contributing editor to Alaska Magazine and a science writer for the University of Alaska’s Geophysical Institute.  His weekly column appears in the state’s largest newspaper, the Anchorage Daily News.  Ned spent several hours at the local bookstore (Caribou Books - a partner in the book club) for a book signing.
