Facilitated discussions during the meeting resulted in the refinement of the Foundation’s mission statement, as well as identified key goals, objectives, and activities to be undertaken by the Foundation’s board of directors, membership, and action committees.  Committees on Education and Outreach, Funding and Finance, and Projects will be developing concepts and ideas for action in the near term which will be reported back to the board within the next 60 days.  The Service will play a major advisory role to these committees and provide technical and financial assistance where possible, principally through grants assistance, technical guidance, and delivery of Partners for Fish and Wildlife project funds.
