Aroostook Band of Micmacs Environmental Staff Meets with Refuge
Northeast Region, February 2, 2006
Print Friendly Version

Fred Corey and Dave Macek from the Environmental Department of the Aroostook Band of Micmacs meet with the staff of Aroostook NWR to discuss common natural resource issues such as the impact of contaminents on our neighboring properties.  There was a tremendous exchange of information and sharing of common concerns about the proper future stewardship of the lands entrusted to us.  The refuge and tribe are developing a Proposal for a Contaminent Study at their Loring site which is adjacent to the refuge.

The refuge offered the tribe work space at the refuge headquarters building whenever they are working on their Loring site.
