The Mexican wolf experimental population final rule calls for a complete review of the reintroduction program at 3 and 5 years.  The five-year review was approved by the Mexican Wolf Adaptive Management Oversight Committee (AMOC) on December 8, 2005.

The Mexican Wolf Blue Range Reintroduction Project is managed by the six-agency AMOC, chaired by the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AGFD).  In addition to the U.S. Fish an Wildlife Service and the AGFD, the other four AMOC lead agencies are:  New Mexico Department of Game and Fish; Wildlife Services (U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service); Forest Service (U.S. Department of Agriculture); and the White Mountain Apache Tribe.  Active cooperators include Greenlee County, Arizona and the New Mexico Department of Agriculture.
