The New Mexico Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program staff completed a grant agreement to restore .75 mile of riparian vegetation, improve breeding habitat for the Chiricahua leopard frog (frog) (federally listed as threatened) and translocate tadpoles into suitable habitat to establish new populations of the frog.  The grant objectives are to:  1. establish two to three populations of the frog on the cooperator's privately-owned land within and in wetlands adjacent to a perennial spring-fed creek; 2. establish riparian vegetation along .75 mile of the creek; and survey for the frog within translocation sites using U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service protocol throughout the three years of this agreement.
