Journal Entry   Back Canaan Valley expands and repairs parking lots Northeast Region, October 1, 2005 Print Friendly Version               In October of 2005, Engineering Equipment Operator John Nicely expanded and repaired 3 parking areas on the Refuge in anticipation of the upcoming hunt season.  Two parking areas on Forest Road 80 were repaired with a topcoat of gravel.  Another parking lot at the end of Camp 70 road was expanded into a much larger 40 x 50 foot square and then dressed with 20 tons of gravel.  The expansion of these parking areas allow better parking and Refuge access for the not only the hunters, but visitors for other public uses.
