Mayor John Bushey of Milton, Delaware Proclaims National Wildlife Refuge Week

  Mayor John Bushey of Milton, Delaware has proclaimed the week of October 9 through 15, 2005 as National Wildlife Refuge Week.  “I urge all Town of Milton citizens to join thousands of others across the country in learning about and celebrating the magnificent network of lands known as the National Wildlife Refuge System which we, as United States citizens, have set aside for wildlife,” stated Mayor Bushey.  Prime Hook National Wildlife, spanning 10,000 acres near Milton, is just one refuge in this system of lands.  To celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week, Prime Hook is hosting it’s 4th Annual Waterfowl Festival on Saturday, October 8th from 9:00am to 3:00pm.  This event features nearly 50 environmental organizations, plant and bird walks, bluebird box building, fishing and hunting demonstrations, guided canoe trips, and other exciting activities!
