Cape May National Wildlife Refuge held its third annual fishing derby along Delaware Bay on October 1, 2005. Refuge staff gave talks about fish biology, handling, ethics and general safety lessons. Several black drum and a blue fish were caught during the two-hour-long fishing derby. Prizes were awarded to all kids. Fifteen children 16 years old and younger attended with their families.
