TETLIN: Invasive Plants Workshop Held

In late July, Tetlin Refuge hosted an Invasive Plant Workshop for residents of the Upper Tanana Valley. Cooperators and speakers included representatives from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service, the Alaska Natural Heritage Program, TCC Planning and Development, and University of Alaska Fairbanks CES Tanana District. Topics included the importance of invasives to Alaska, the ten weeds to watch for and how to identify them, and what to do if an invasive plant is found.
